I’ve been working on a few new pieces lately. This one took forever, and I’m very happy with it. The glass and brass pieces are probably from a bracelet. I found them in a random bag of bits and pieces, mostly broken, I bought at the flea market a few years ago. The rest is new – freshwater pearls, amethyst, and smokey quartz with a brass clasp.

A friend recently gave me a string of hematite to use in a new design for her. Here is the happy result:

Combined the hematite beads with some gold-coloured pearls. The necklace has a front-closure gold-fill toggle clasp and I reused the 18K clasp from the original piece in the bracelet. I'm really pleased with this colour combo.

The necklace much nicer around her neck than here; I think I got the length perfect.

Was only supposed to be one piece, but there were enough goodies for two.

It only looked like enough for one. I did have add some smaller grey pearls to complete the second piece.
