The other day I had errands which would take me from one end of the city to the other on my bike. Right in the middle of my journey I stopped at Dockside Green. I enjoyed a delicious tea from Café Fantastico and delicate croissant from Fol Epi Bakery while gazing out at the industrial landscape of the Upper Harbour. This spot is a hub of activity for cyclists, walkers and workers from the various businesses which surround it.

Just a few random shots of animals from the last couple weeks.

This chick has a couple other names, but I like to call her Dee Dee. She was hand raised and sometimes she just needs her human to hold and stroke her.

Henny Penny, the Queen of the Coop. This gal is thriving at 10 years old; hanging out, sitting in the shade and loving the worms and bugs she finds.

Poppies are everywhere right now, spreading their colourful joy to all! I especially love the California variety.

A lovely May day was perfect for a stroll through the grounds at the home of the Lieutenant Governor of BC. There were some baby ducks in the pond, but they wouldn’t stay, or stay together, for a photo.

Cool new things are always popping up in Victoria. Here’s another little place I like for coffee (or tea, etc) – Hey Happy Coffee, 560 Johnson Street, Victoria BC.

Here are some pics from an early morning walk about a month ago. There was a mighty storm a-brew’n; didn’t really amount to anything tho!

A few days ago was pretty much like a summer’s day here on the west coast. I had a little walk through Beacon Hill Park and found many flowers and so many shades of the brightest greens.

As they are just coming to an end, here are some pics of the fluffiest and pinkest blooms this season.

Stumbled on this pretty little park in Oak Bay a couple weeks ago, full of birds and blossoms. More info here, here and here.
