Here’s a few shots of some of our Holiday Ho, Ho, Ho around the studio, plus a nice shot of the Inner Harbour in Victoria BC.

Found these beauties, Cole and Scrat, sleeping in the “snow” in the window at Fan Tan Gallery. They are the shop cats there, and they love to provide wit and delight to this beautiful shop.

Oh my! I’ve been designing and making many things! I am participating in a two-day Artisan Market at the University of Victoria next week. I will be representing our online store, so as well as my own work, I will have art from GJ and our guest artists. Today was all about adding hang tags; so much still to do! But it’s been fun. Here are some pics of new work, plus the flyer for the event, in case you’re in the Victoria BC area.

On Sunday last we walked to our friend  Billy’s place in James Bay for our annual pumpkin carving evening. Just the walk through the gorgeous autumn dusk was spectacular, and then we had so much fun with friends old and new!

I think this was my favourite; old style and totally spooky.

Caught a beautiful sky in my neighbourhood the other day, as the daylight was fading away. We are finally starting to have some real autumn days after a very prolonged and delightful summer. My favourite time of year!

Our dear friend Dame Mailarta has organized another wonderful show for the International Mail Art Exhibition: Mailmania 5. This year’s exhibit took place at the Slide Room Gallery at the Vancouver Island School of Art in September. Art was mailed to Studio J from all around the world. Check out the Mailarta blog here, and send some art along!

We were moved to see this peice by our beloved Rachel Berman who passed away this last spring. Rachel sent a lot of art through the post to so many people; we are honoured to have known her.
