Lovely cold crisp morning today; perfect for an early-morning walk. Here are a few shots from around the Inner Harbour, Victoria BC Canada.
Altho at our home, we try to drag this season of light out as long as possible, alas the city is now wrapping it up and taking down all the lights and decorations. I love Victoria at Christmastime; it’s even more magical to me than when it’s all in bloom the rest of the year. Here’s a few last glimpses from around my neighbourhood from an early morning walk a few days ago.
With a thermos of hot chocolate in hand, we headed out for a nice long walk to Ogden Point in James Bay to meet friends and walk out to the lighthouse at the end of the breakwater. It was a spectacularly glorious day to start the year, crisp and bright. Thanks to our friend J for organizing such a delightful ramble!
Found these beauties, Cole and Scrat, sleeping in the “snow” in the window at Fan Tan Gallery. They are the shop cats there, and they love to provide wit and delight to this beautiful shop.
Oh my! I’ve been designing and making many things! I am participating in a two-day Artisan Market at the University of Victoria next week. I will be representing our online store, so as well as my own work, I will have art from GJ and our guest artists. Today was all about adding hang tags; so much still to do! But it’s been fun. Here are some pics of new work, plus the flyer for the event, in case you’re in the Victoria BC area.
On Sunday last we walked to our friend Billy’s place in James Bay for our annual pumpkin carving evening. Just the walk through the gorgeous autumn dusk was spectacular, and then we had so much fun with friends old and new!
